Couple days ago there was a drastic change in Klout. The algorithms calculating the actual scores were changed, which meant that most individual Klout scores changed too. There has been a lot of heated discussion on this matter, and many people have been very disappointed and even angry about this. It seems that some people and even organisations take these scores seriously, and drastic drop in your Klout score may be a job threatening situation. Just for the record, my score dropper 5 points, but that is OK. I do not take this that seriously and my life does not depend on Klout score, or PeerIndex for that matter.

Problem is that the algorithm and calculations behind these scores are a secret, which at least to me tells that they cannot be taken as scientific fact. In science, you put your theories in the open and they are peer reviewed…
